Abstract

NATURAL WATER HAZARD IN THE AREA OF "POMORZANY" ZINC-LEAD DEPOSITS Summary The Olkusz region of zinc-lead deposits was intensely studied in the last few years. The studies resulted in recognition and documentation of several new deposits to the north of the exploited ones from the Boleslaw and Olkusz area. At present, mining works are being carried out in one of the newly found deposits - the Pomorzany deposit. The paper discusses water hazard of mining works carried out in the Pomorzany mine. The analysis of this hazard was made on the basis of detailed studies of bore hole data and per analogy to the neighbouring mines.
