Abstract

METHOD OF MULTIPLE PROFILING IN THE LIGHT OF STUDIES CONDUCTED IN THE USSR Summary Materials presented at the symposium devoted to seismic studies made by the method of multiple profiling, which took place in the USSR in 1972, are discussed in the paper. Factors influencing the effectiveness of this method are given and method of interpretation of seults is discussed. Moreover, mode of calculation of• dynamic corrections and transformation of seismic data, in case of occurrence of intense multiple waves, is shown; algorhythms are ennumerated and programmes of seismic data processing by electronic machines are demonstrated. Some of the results obtained and prospectives for future developments of the method are mentioned.
