Abstract

CURRENT DISCUSSIONS ON THE TERTIARY SYSTEM IN POLAND Summary The author refers to his article "Discussion about the Tertiary in Poland", published in ,,Przegląd Geologiczny", no. 9, 1957, in which current problems concerning Polish Miocene were discussed. In view of the present accumulation of many conflicting problems in Miocene literature, it seems justified to initiate a discussion on the above subject in ,,Przegląd Geologiczny" in order to throw some new light on this problem. The question of age of detrital sediments of the Sarmatian of the marginal zone of the Carpathian Foredeep is considered here.
