ELECTRON MICROSCOPY METHODS IN STUDIES ON CLAY RAW MATERIALS
Summary
The paper deals with the application of electron microscopy methods in studies on clay minerals, and particularly on kaolin raw materials. The author proposes a methodology of studies on clay raw materials that would make it possible to determine size, outline, thickness, and morphology of grains in a given sample. Moreover, this method would make it possible to identify kaolinite occurring in association with iron compounds, mica and hydromica, anatase, and carbonates.
