MIDDLE DEVONIAN CARBONATE RAW MATERIALS FROM THE ŁAGÓW AREA, HOLY CROSS MTS
Summary
Lithologic-chemical characteristics and the possibilities of utilization of Middle Devonian limestones and dolomites form four deposits (Winna, Wszachów, Łagów, and Komorniki) in the eastern part of the Holy Cross Mts (Fig. 1) are presented. The deposits are characterized by positive mining-geological parameters, thin blanket, large resources, and wide applicability of the deposit rocks. The rocks may be used as construction materials, for lime burning, in chemical industry, and in steel works. The results obtained are sufficiently positive to justify planning of industrial objects in this region.
