DIRECTION OF TRANSPORTATION OF THE SILURIAN SILTSTONE SERIES IN NORTHERN POLAND
Summary
The Silurian siltstone series discovered in the Polish Lowland area as a result of research works is a very interesting question. In all probability, the presence of siltstones in the Ludlovian proves the Caledonian orogenetic processes which have taken place west of the East-European platform margin.
The article deals with the problems of sedimentary environment and those concerning direction of transportation of the siltstone series occurring in the Ludlovian in Northern Poland.
