Abstract

QUATERNARY SANDSTONES AND CONGLOMERATES Summary The here described localities of the Quaternary sandstones and conglomerates occurring in the vicinities of Płock and Gąbin, in the areas of both Bug-Narew and Wkra Rivers, as well as the localities known from literature were basis to the authors to distinguish three types of sandstones and conglomerates different in their form. Here belong: l) flats, incrustations and concentrations; 2) beds; 3) block-like and columnar forms. In addition, the authors give their suggestions as to the genesis and the age of the Quaternary sandstones and conglomerates discussed in this paper.
