GAMMA-GAMMA 1OGGING OF SOFT RADIATIONS
Summary
The gamma-gamma logging of soft radiations is a variety of the common gamma-gamma logging. The measurement of a phenomenon consists in using the existing relationship between photoelectric observation of multiply spread gamma quanta and atomic number Z of the atoms in the environment. As radiation sources are used isotopes emitting gamma rays of low energy.
The author gives theoretical and interpretative bases to prospect and to determine the grade of heavy metal ore deposits. In addition, factors influencing quantitative interpretation are discussed, as well.
