Abstract
MINERALOGIC-GEOCHEMICAL STUDY OF SIDERITE CLAYS FROM THE ŚWIĘTY KRZYŻ LIASSIC
Summary
Siderite clays occurring in the ore-bearing horizons of the Święty Krzyż Liassic represent a transition member between clays and ores, and contain mineralogical elements characteristic of these rock types. Moreover, on account of an easy softening, they are the only rocks of the ore-bearing horizons rich in siderite, which may be fractionated without complicated preparatory processes. The features of siderite clays mentioned above have decided upon the execution of complex mineralogical and geochemical examinations.
In the present paper are given the results of these examinations, which complete the studies previously made on clays and clay ores of the Święty Krzyż Liassic.
