Abstract

ANALOGY IN GEOLOGICAL STRUCTURE OF VARISCIDES OF THE SILESIAN-MORAVIAN ANTICLINORIUM WITH SUDETES AND HOLY CROSS MTS Summary The Upper Silesian Coal Basin formed on the Cieszyn block is embraced by two Variscian branches. The Silesian-Moravian Variscides were formed due to eugeosynclinal development, the Cracow Variscides, however, due to miogeosynclinal one. The Variscides show a great analogy in diastrophic-sedimentary and magmatic development with the Variscides of the Holy Cross Mts.
