DETERMINATION OF DEPTH TO THE ROOF OF HIGH RESISTANCE HORIZON
Summary
The author gives a method of calculating depth to the roof of high-resistance horizon, based on analysis of right asymptotes of multi-layer curves of vertical electrical soundings. Taking in to account the principle of equivalency, the multi-layer geoelectrical section was reduced, according to Hummel's principle, to two-layer section. For this section the equation of apparent resistance was approximated by a function being rather easy for calculation.
In this work a method of least squares was used.
