Abstract

CLAYEY MINERALS OF THE POZNAŃ CLAYS Summary It has been stated on complex studies comprising colorimetric differential thermal analysis, X-ray and electron microscope analyses that clayey fraction of the Poznań clay samples, taken from various points of great basin, represents a montmorillonite-illite mixture containing a slight admixture of kaolinite, organic substance, pyrite and iron oxides. Some stability of mineral composition in clayey fraction is reflected in respective relations existing between contents of clay fraction as well as physical, mechanical and technological properties, what is proved in the works being continued.
