STUDIES ON ROCK DENSITY CARRIED OUT FOR THE REQUIREMENTS OF GEOPHYSICS IN POLAND
Summary
The history and methods of studies on rock density, carried out for the requirements of geophysics in Poland, are discussed. The synthetic elaborations of the results at the studies, hitherto made for reduction and interpretation of gravity measurements and geological reconnaissance• are discussed and the conclusions of methodological and cognitive character are given. The main tasks of the rock density research in Poland and methodological problems with should be solved in the near future are analysed.
