Abstract

SPHERULITES OF THE RHAETIAN AND LIASSIC IN THE HOLY CROSS MTS. Summary The article deals with the characteristics of siderite spherulites occurring in the Liassic deposits of the marginal area of the Holy Cross Mts. In the Rhaetian, the author encountered cementing spherulites, in the Lower Liassic - fibrous, wedge-like and concretionary spherulites, in the Upper Liassic - fibrous ones. AU the spherulites are sideritic, mostly accompanied by pyrite. It is in general accepted that spherulites are diagenetical forms, however, here exists a probability that the cementing and concretionary spherulites described in the paper are epigenetic ones.
