Abstract

ONE-HOLE ISOTOPE AND ELECTRICAL METHODS IN DETERMINING THE DIRECTION OF GROUND WATER FLOW

Summary
The article deals with the methods of determining the direction of ground water flow When only one hole is available. The methods so far applied were expensive and troublesome in practice, for at least three observation holes were necessary.
The first part of the article is devoted to the isotope method, the second one to the electrical method. The discussed methods yield uniform results, are characteristic of a high degree of exactness, and are more handy than the classical methods applied up to now in Poland.
The article is written mainly for hydrogeologists, geologists and geophysicists
