Abstract

REMARKS ON CHEMICAL RELATIONS OF WATERS IN THE RYBNIK REGION Summary The salt waters and brines pumped out of a mine are an important hidrance in exploitation of coal within the Upper Silesian Coal Basin, especially due to the danger of increase of surface water salinity. The problem is very significant in the southwestern part of the Basin, where the occurrence of salt waters and brines has been ascertained everywhere. In the article the author presents observations concerning regularity in distribution of individual types of waters occurring in the area of the basin under study.
