Abstract


MICROBIOSTRATIGRAPHY OF THE SIEDLISKA CONGLOMERATES AT SIEDLISKA (SW OF RZESZÓW)

Summary
As the result of study on the Siedliska conglomerates as to the contents of microorganisms, the rich assemblages of foraminifera have been established, mainly benthonic and planctonic ones differing from each other, when various lithological type of sediments (see Fig. I of the Polish text). This is the Oligocene microfauna (see Fig. II), which may be compared with the corresponding assemblages described from the Hadum horizon on the Caucasus, as well as from the brown marls of Pouzdrany (Moravia).
The presence of the fauna older than Oligocene time (Upper Cretaceous, lower Eocene, middle Eocene, upper Eocene) is interpreted by the authors, because its appearance in the coarse-detrital rocks, as consequence of the age redeposition.
