Abstract

XXXVI MEETING OF THE POLISH GEOLOGICAL SOCIETY (PIENINY MTS) Summary The first Meeting of the Polish Geological Society was organized by L. Horwitz and F. Rabowski in the Pieniny Mts, Carpathians in 1929. Previously, there was in 1903 an excursion of the IXth International Geological Congress to the Pieniny Mts and the Tatra Mts, led. by V. Uhlig. The present, XXXVIth Meeting of the Polish Geological Society is devoted chiefly to the stratigraphic, sedimentologic and tectonic problems of the Mesozoic and Palaeogene of the Pieniny Kilppen Belt of Poland, as well as to the fresh-water Neogene deposits, andesite intrusions, hydrogeological problems a. o.
