Abstract

ELECTROPHORESIS IN THE STUDIES ON CLAY MINERALS Summary The method of determining electrokinetic potential by means of electropboresis is discussed and the modes of measurement of the electrophoretic mobility and the value of electrokinetic potential are presented. The results of studies on the dependence of electrokinetic potential on the concentration of electrolite and cation valency for the samples of Sedlec kaolinite and Chmielnik bentonite are given.
