SPATIAL ORIENTATION AND NATURE OF FRACTURES FROM THE TRIASSIC ROCKS OF THE BOLESŁAW MINE NEAR OLKUSZ
Summary
The paper presents the results of studies on fracture tectonics of the Rhöt deposits (spatial orientation, surface morphology, opening, extent and density of fractures and their mineralization). The relation of fractures from Rhöt dolomites to those from higher links of the Triassic is also discussed. Two fracture directions, cIose to NW-SE am NE-SW, predominate in the whole area studied and in all the lithostratigraphic links of the Triassic. The ore-bearing dolomites are most strongly fractured and the Rhöt deposits - least fractured. It appeared purposeful to carry out further studies and take measurements of fractures in that area in order to trace the influence of fracture tectonics on distribution of mineralization.
