Abstract

RESULTS OF PRELIMINARY GEOELECTRIC SURVEYS FROM THE KREMPACH AREA (PIENINY KLIPPEN BELT) Summary Electric resistance profile transversally cutting the Pieniny Klippen Belt comprises several lithostratigraphic units belonging to different tectonic units. Attepmts were made to correlate apparent resistance values and lithological units cropping out in the proximity of the profile line. It appeared that such correlation is possible even in the case of areas with so complex structure as the Pieniny Klippen Belt and that the electric resistance curve may be treated as a basic for interpretation and supplement of surface of the crags represents a zone of strong tectonic disintegration presumably related to overthrusting and decollement.
