ON BIPARTITY OF WEISSLIENGENDES (PERMIAN) SANDSTONES FROM THE CENTRAL PARTS OF THE FORE-SUDETIC MONOCLINE IN THE LIGHT OF DISCRIMINATIVE ANALYSIS OF THE HEAVY MINERAL ASSEMBLAGE
Summary
The problem of bipartity of Weissliegendes (Permian) sandstones from central parts of the Fore-Sudetic monocline is discussed. The series of white or white-gray sandstones occurring directly above the Rotliegendes deposits and overlain with so-called copper-bearing shales and evaporites of the Zechstein have been the subject of numerous papers and discussions. The paper presents results of discriminative analysis of composition of heavy mineral fraction of these sandstones.
