Abstract

SEDIMENTARY ROCK CLASSIFICATION BASED ON THEIR MODULUS OF ELASTICITY, ESTIMATED FROM WAVE IMAGES Summary Here are presented some attemps in sedimentary rock classification on grounds of their Young modulus of elasticity, volume and shape distortion and Poisson coefficients. These modulus were estimated on base of quantitative interpretation of wave images, registered during acoustic sensing in bore holes. They inform about rock elasticity parameters in natural conditions, which could be used in studies of orogen mechanics and deposits exploitation. There were discussed variability intervals of modulus of elasticity for various lithologic types and of such reservoir parameters as porosity and water hydrogen saturation coefficients.
