These deformations may be brought about by various causes of geological and engineering-geological nature, for example by slope phenomena, suffosion, swelling, settling a. o. In each case, the results of analysis depend on the right estimation of relations existing between building construction and substratum, what is exemplified by the case of the Old City in Płock.
