ROLE AND TASKS OF ENGINEERING GEOLOGY IN THE PRELIMINARY STUDIES OF THE VISTULA VALLEY Summary The author discusses problem of the Vistula river regulation for the purpose of using its potential economical possibilities. There are being conducted at present the elaborations of conceptions concerning individual cascades on the Vistula river, as well as the preliminary studies determining really the production and the advantages of the dams. The article deals with the role and tasks of engineering geology in these works.
