Abstract

GEOCHEMICAL PROSPECTIONS FOR POLYMETALLIC ORES IN THE KACZAWSKIE MTS Summary The article deals with the results of geochemical prospections made in two stages of works in the area of the Kaczawskie Mountains. The results of the first stage of investigations based on the preliminary geochemical reconnaissance of the terrain (alluvial survey) allowed to detach regions of increased concentration of index elements. The author discusses in detail the results of the second stage of investigations, the purpose of which was to explain the new perspectives of metal contents in the areas of known occurrence of polimetallic deposits and to detach the prolific areas for future prospecting works in the regions, where mineralization was not recorded up to now. The results of the second stage of investigations allow to determine the metallogeny of the area under study and to localize the near-surface metallizing zones.
