STRESS ENVELOPES IN THE MAGNUSZEW BORE-HOLE
Summary
On the basis of theory on curvilinear path of a refracted acoustic beam (published by V. S. Tuman in 1961 - Geophysics No 5), the stresses occurring at the depth of 1815 m in the Magnuszew bore-hole have been analyzed, as wen as the influence of stresses upon the sound velocity and decrease of stress in the mud cake and in the rock mass has been discussed in the article.
