Abstract
STUDIES ON GRAVELS OF THE DUNAJEC RIVER FROM TATRAS TO ITS MOUTH INTO VISTULA
Summary
In the article the purpose of investigations, history of previous studies and work techniques are given. After short description of morphology and geology of the Dunajec river basin, influence of transportation of local material is presented, as well as selection of material, resulting of the properties of rock debris and of weathering and -transportation agents is analysed. Moreover, conclusions are drawn and reasonableness of further study on the Quaternary sediments in the active beds of the Dunajec river and its tributaries, as well as on the older river terraces is discussed.
