Abstract
PYRITE MINERALIZATION OF LIMESTONES WITHIN THE „ZALESIE STRUCTURE”
Summary
The investigations made have comprised the Rauracian limestones exploited at three quarries, viz.: Piechcin, Bielawy and Wapienno (northern portion of the Kujawy elevation). Within these quarries the compact, rarely the clastic limestones as well as the organogenic limestone - spongy and crinoidean ones - crop out. These are impregnated by the iron sulphides. The problem of mineralization of these limestones was dealt with already by various authors, especially by R. Krajewski (4). The discussion on pyritization, carried on in this paper, enlarges the existing informations concerning this theme.
