Abstract
FIRST STAGE OF GEOLOGICAL INVESTIGATIONS IN THE POLISH LOWLAND AREA
Summary
In 1962, the Geological Institute has finished the first stage of works comprising geological studies on subtertiary substratum of the Polish Lowland area.
These works bore a character of first geological prospections planned on a general scale. As a result of these studies tectonic-stratigraphical character of great geological units has been determined, as well as concentration of future works, as concerns the selected, most prospective areas of the country has been established.
The next successive stages of works will comprise detailed geological investigations to be carried on in the individual regions of Poland.
