Abstract
THE QUATERNARY DEPOSITS IN THE GRYFICE REGION, AND THEIR APPLICATION
Summary
During 1961, the Department of Rocky Raw Materials in the Geological Institute has conducted in the Gryfice district area an inventory of the deposits and points of exploitation of building raw materials.
The results obtained during the field observations have been bound up with the new profiles of the Pleistocene deposits encountered in many bore-holes by the crew of the Lowland Geology in the Geological Institute, conducting the structural geological investigations in the West Pomerania area.
These observations allowed to determine practically the conditions of occurrence of raw material deposits in the Gryfice district area and threw new light on the occurrence character and development of the Quaternary deposits in this part of West Pomerania.
