Abstract

RESISTANCE TO WEATHERING OF SOME SLICK MINERALS Summary The article deal with the problem of resistance to weathering of some slick minerals presented in the light of selected works of the Polish and foreign investigators being engaged in this question. It results from comparison of the elaborations that in conditions of water transport the garnet is more resistant to the chemical and mechanical weathering than the amphibole. Data concerning other minerals are still questionable. The elongations of many slick minerals presented in the article may be regarded as a value of their resistance to weathering during water transport.
