Perspektywy eksploatacji kwarcytów bolesławieckich
Abstract
PERSPECTIVES OF EXPLOITATION OF QUARTZITES IN THE BOLESŁAWIEC REGION Summary Upper Oligocene quartzites occurring in the area of Bolesławiec form irregular intercalations within the quartz sands horizon. This horizon, which previously extended throughout the 2-10 km wide peripheral zone of the Upper Oligocene basin, has been strongly destroyed during later geological stages (Fig. 2). Today the preserved sand surface does not exceed 20 km2. Quartzites form only a minor part of these sands. The estimation of the resources and usefulness of quartzites shows that in the vicinity of Bolesławiec these resources are gradually being exhausted.Downloads
