USE OF THE SELF-POTENTIAL METHOD FOR DETERMINATION OF THE HYDROGEOLOGICAL PARAMETERS IN TEST PUMPINGS

Summary
During the hydrogeological and geological-engineering investigations, the use of self-potential method is commonly limited to the establishment of ground-water flow direction, exclusively in the natural, undisturbed circulation system.
On the basis of theoretical premises and scanty experiences of the field works, there are possibilities of using the self-potential method also for investigations of artificially made dynamic forms of ground-water level, such as depression cone appearing while test pumpings or exploitation of underground watersheds in the system of grouped pumping; extension of flowing away during the water-flooding of wells, feed zones in the system ground water - surface water a. s. o.
The effectiveness of self-potential method used in the time of above mentioned investigations alike as the optimum hydrogeological conditions were hitherto not cleared up.
The paper deals also with examples of geophysical investigations in the conditions of disturbed ground-water regime, carried out for the hydrogeological requirements, taking into consideration the data from the special literature as well as the results of works performed by the author in USSR.
