REMARKS ON THE BUILDING SANDSTONES OF THE BOLESŁAWIEC-LWÓWEK ŚLĄSKI REGION Summary The Bolesławiec-Lwówek Śląski region is a rich one in various useful raw materials. Among these materials the building stones - exactly the sandstones - are the most important there. The building sandstones of this area are known from two geological formations viz.: New Red Sandstone and Upper Cretaceous. The New Red Sandstone and Upper Cretaceous deposits along with other sediments fill up the northern Sudetic Basin. Moreover author describes the properties and exploitation possibilities of these sandstones.
