Abstract
PRELIMINARY RESULTS OF NEWER DRILLING WORKS CARRIED OUT WITHIN THE TOMASZÓW BASIN AREA
Summary
On the basis of drillings made in 1950-1960 author preliminarily discusses the stratigraphy of Jurassic and Cretaceous deposits of both, northern and southern Tomaszów Basin flanks.
During the investigations a considerable greater thickness of marine sediments of Neocomian was confirmed than previously suspected and the distinct differences in the facial development of the Lower Cretaceous and Upper Jurassic deposits in the northern and southern part of the basin were testified.
In spite of previous opinions the Neocomian deposits of the northern area rest discordant on the weathered limestone of Purbeckian.
