Abstract
FIRST-ORDER BASE GRAVIMETRIC NETWORK OF POLAND
Summary
In connection with task of gravimetry for the geological as well as geodetical purposes, the Geophysical Department of the Geological Institute has elaborated a first-order base gravimetric network of Poland. The equalization of network was performed according to the rules of indirect observation methods using the Cracowian calculation. The errors of particular points determined after equalization are between 0.04 mgal and 0.07 mgal, naturally, if an error of scale unit of the apparatus is not taken into consideration there.
Moreover, the paper deals also with complexity of problems related to the performance and elaboration of the gravimetric network, as for instance: stabilization of points, preliminary examinations of the apparatuses, problem of the scale factor of network, its reference level in Warsaw, as well as equalization method and exactness obtained during measurements.
