Summary
Barite in Poland is mainly used in the chemical industry; in the less extent it is utilized also by the oil and coal mining as well as by the other industrial branches.
In the industrial scale, the barite occurs in the Święty Krzyż Mts and in the Lower Silesia.
The article deals with review of the all barite occurrences in Poland, as well as with discovering possibilities of the new aggregations useful for national economics.
