Summary
Adventages of the neutron-gamma method in comparison to the electric and thermal methods also problems which can be solved with help of this method are presented here. Properties of the most frequently used neutron source, composed of Polonium-Berilium mixture and the process of radioactive decay of Polonium also reactions of the type zXA + on1 are here given. Neutron constants of some elements and mineral influencing on the result of logging (n, γ) are mentioned. Theoretical solutions are illustrated by examples of neutron-gamma and gamma logging accomplished in the Gorzów IG 1 bore-hole.
