ON THE FROST POLYGONS AT KRZYŻNE PASS (TATRA MTS)
Summary
The site of frost polygons in the Krzyżne PAss in the Tatra Mts is described. Those structures were discovered by Alfred Jahn. They are situated on the oldest denudation surface in the Tatra Mts, the later being according to M. Klimaszewski of Tortonian age. Frost polygons are most probably of Pleistocene age. This is an unique phenomenon of this kind in the Polish part of the Tatra Mts.
The author proposes to preserve it.
