Abstract
NATURE MONUMENTS OF THE CRACOW UPLAND IN THE VICINITY OF CRACOW
Summary
There are plenty of geological sites worth of nature preservation from scientific and didactic point of view in the vicinity of Cracow. They are Devonian, Carboniferous, Permian, Jurassic, Cretaceous, Tertiary and Quaternary and illustrate some geological processes, in particular – Tertiary fault tectonics. The author describes areas worth of landscape preservation (Kajasówka horst hill, a section of the Cracow-Krzeszowice graben, surroundings of the Ojców National Park) also natural and artificial exposures which state of preservation will not change within a longer period of time under degradation processes.
