Abstract
SARCOLITE WITHIN THE ANTICLINAL BEDS FROM THE KNURÓW COAL MINE
Summary
The part of sandstone and conglomerate series from the anticlinal beds of the Knurów coal mine was strongly changed by scapolitization (sarcolite), carbonatization (ankerite), silicification and stylolitic processes. These phenomena resulted from magmatic intrusion influence of diabase dike type. Such magmatic activity involved local high growth of consistency and hardness of these rocks. Mainly the components of matrix and cement were intensely transformed; in lower degree similar processes have changed the framework grains.
