Abstract

ABOUT THE MOST EXTENSIVE TRANSGRESSION OF THE GARDNO LAKE Summary The highest and the easternmost shore ridge of the Gardno Lake was studied. It has developed during the transgression of the Gardno Lake, synchronous with the maximum of the Littorina transgression of the South Baltic i.e. Kluki 3. According to the authors a sea level in this time was not higher than 1 m a.s1, as univocally indicated by altitude of the beach base (Fig. 2) but not of its summit The latter corresponds to the vertical extent of waves during storms.
