Abstract
POLLEN ANALYSIS OF DEPOSITS FROM THE BOREHOLE PAGÓRKI
Summary
Pollen diagram (Fig.) presents results of pollen analysis. The diagram indicates four interglacial pollen periods and the Early Vistulian. Development of vegetation at Pagórki starts with boreal coniferous forest (period I). During the period II there are deciduous forests with Quercus and Corylus. This climatic optimum is characteristic for the Eemian Interglacial. Mter the climatic optimum during the periods III and IV there are boreal forests with admixture of thermophilus deciduous trees as Quercus. Ulmus, Tilia. Corylus and Carpinus. The tundra (depth 187,8-188,7 m) was included into the Vistulian. Overlying samples with pollen spectra characteristic for forests with pine (Pinus) and birch (Betula) are correlated with the interstade Amersfoort - Brorup.
