Abstract
DEVELOPMENT OF THE METHODOLOGY OF UNDERGROUND WATERS PROTECTION MAPPING
Summary
General review of the development of the methodology of making maps (including also those unpublished) of underground waters protection in Poland has been presented. The methods of mapping (in various scales) threats and protection of underground waters have been reviewed with the extended presentation of criteria and methods of solution applied in CPBP project "Strategy of protection of underground waters". The essence of the accepted conception consisted in establishing, based upon hydrostructural and hydrodynamical criteria, the different zones of the regional protection for the most important and precious underground water basins.
