ORGANISATIONAL STRUCTURE FOR THE MANAGEMENT OF GROUNDWATERS

Summary
Changes of the decision-making processes from the County Boards (Administrative District) to the Regional Board of the Water Management is required to activate each of the seven water management regions which are under organisation in Poland. The regional Board of Water Management will be supported by the Regional Council for Water Management, which would be established from representatives of state and local authorithies, self-government as well as users. The Regional Administration of Water Management which will unite all water suppliers should carry a whole activity pertinent to the usage of waters. The hydrological division of the country for water regions should be supplemented with 5 groundwater management subregions and respective units for groundwater management have to be established within the organisational structures.
