Abstract
A NEW SITE OF THE PILICA LNTERSTADE (CHOJNY FORMATION) IN THE BEŁCHATÓW OUTCROP
Summary
The paper describes new sites of the intra-Saalian organic sediments from the fluvial Chojny Formation of Bełchatów outcrop. They are located near villages Stawek and Kuców, in the NW part of the outcrop (June 1992). Palynological investigations show five local pollen zones. The lowermost one, Pinus-Alnus, zone represents the warmest period. The upper zones show for climatic deterioration indicating predominance of subarctic flora. The Pinus-Alnus zone represents quite different warming up than this from site Buczyna 4 (Północna) of the Chojny Formation in the eastern part of the Bełchatów outcrop.
