Abstract

STABLE ISOTOPES IN STUDIES OF DIAGENESIS OF CLASTIC DEPOSITS Summary Isotopic composition of diagenetic minerals and porewaters in clastic sedimentary rocks can be used as a tracer for diagenetical history of the sediments. The stable isotopes of hydrogen, carbon, oxygen, sulphur, strontium and neodymium provide information about paleotemperature and water/rock/organic matter interactions and porewater evolution during diagenesis.
