Abstract
CORRELATION OF BOUGUER GRAVITY ANOMALIES AND EARTH CRUST THICKNESS ALONG THE VII, M-7 AND LT-2 PROFILES OF DEEP SEISMIC SOUNDING IN POLAND
Summary
The paper present analysis of interdependences between Bouguer gravity anomalies and depth of occurrence of the Mohorovičić boundary along the VII, M-7 and LT-2 profiles of deep seismic sounding. By the use of linear regression method there are given equations for calculating Earth crust thickness on the basis of gravity anomalies. There are also discussed possibilities of use of linear model in such analysis when the tectonic structure of Mohorovičić boundary is complex.
