ROCK DENSITY DETERMINATION BASED ON GAMMA-GAMMA LOGGING OF THE BROWN COAL DEPOSIT „BEŁCHATÓW”
Summary
The knowledge of density distribution as a function of depth is necessary to define density model of a medium. This problem may be solved using various methods including quantitative interpretation of gamma-gamma logging from boreholes.
The present study was aimed at characterizing density of rocks of brown-coal deposits. A definite density model was used for quantitative interpretation of gravimetric data. The present task was solved using the results of geophysical measurements taken in boreholes made in the area of Bełchatów brown coal deposit.
